Okay, having now found some softaware thanks to Nutter to actually conduct research quickly and efficiently, I have another quick survey primarily aimed at Current Students, those about to become university students and those that have been to University.

Its basically about what Freshers want on Freshers week at University, what sort of events they want. The information is totally annonomous and will be used by my new team on developing some new freshers events in Cheltenham, for the University of Gloucestershire. (as a testing ground) If they are successful, then we will look to implement these new events in new areas.

Furthermore these are small scale events for us, and will be used as a building block as part of our company.

What do Freshers Want?

For those who are interested in our company, we are a new start up based on 4 people who have come out of a University module of putting on an event as part of a team.

Between us at this young age we already have over 15 years of experience within the industry, which is impressive based on the idea that we are 21.
We have areas of specialisation, and have run many events between us, and worked at several hundred events from stewards to operations managers, to event managers throughout.

We need these small events to develop our brand locally and help to promote our capabilities. So if you know of anyone that is looking for a small, events management or Security Management company for anything, then get them in touch with me at s0601828@glos.ac.uk

I would do the survey for you, but freshers week is all about organising clubs at very discounted prices with drinks offer (imo)...nothing else (part from maybe a pool competition - where i would 'pwn' )

Plus, i may be early in saying this, but this sub section isn't going to turn into survey central is it? Sorry if i'm being a bit..you know..and feel free to hit me..

You are right in thinking it is a lot about the clubs, but most universities try to develop their own Students Union during freshers week, but we are trying to develop new events that can take place either during the days, or at nightclubs that will offer different aspects to what most places are offering for freshers.

We are aware that this is the case though, but are looking to build up some loyalty from new students who will potentially enjoy one event and want to come back to different events in the future, which offers us 3 years of custom (minimum) and allows us to get some money to develop our other ideas

I see, yeh, I know the old student union dealies, but i stayed well away personally, since I found this was for kids that before going to uni weren't allowed out at night, and imo, still shouldn't

Although, cheap drinks at an event always reels you in whoever you are...then get them hooked on quality entertainment - bands etc then bamm, you got them...

Well then Nutter, you would almost be my perfect candidate, as we are looking to develop our product / service for students starting University in September 2009, which would mean if it works we would be looking at other areas in the country for 2010, which if my maths is bad will let me down here, but this would be when you start right?
