I'm on the telly today!

I mentioned it last week I think.

The charity that I am a Trustee of handed out our annual dole of Bread and Cheese to the elderly and widowed people of Biddenden this morning. It's a quirky tradition that gets media attention each Easter.

If you can find it on your Sky Box, tune into South East Today on the South East area of BBC1 at 5.30. I was briefly onscreen, wearing glasses and a pink polo neck sweater, talking about the history of the charity. (I know this because it was shown on the lunchtime edition and should be repeated later). There was also a cameraman and reporter there from Meridian Tonight (on Meridian ITV at 6pm) but they didn't actually interview me so I am only likely to appear inthe background.

Will try and upload it to Youtube tomorrow for anyone who wants to see what a dork I am in real life!

The Marge image will be totally ruined after this!

I had a look on the South East Today website earlier today, and apart from the whole of todays show they didn't have a video clip of that story..

What Facebook Group?

See, this is where I show my age. I'm not into the whole Facebook/Myspace/Bebo thing at all.

I got an invite to join Bebo from an internet buddy of mine a coupla weeks back. 57 he is! I was gobsmacked.

Anyway, I set a page up and sent him the link and told him he was mighty honoured as I hate those places. Hasn't been any more activity as yet, thank God.

I spend enough hours of the day HERE without living on Bebo as well!

Anyway, let's see how I get on with the uploading first. Though I guess once it's on Youtube, it's in the public domain, isn't it. You can do what you want with it after that!

OK, peeps. Need advice.

I've uploaded my original video to the PC, converted it to avi, and downsized it to 320x240 and 24MB instead of the original 720x544 144MB.

So in theory I should be able to upload it to Youtube and/or Photobucket. Right?

Wrong!

I've got a headache now as I have been fiddling with this all day in between posting on other threads and sorting out our broken freezer (that's another story!) and I still can't upload to either site.

Both of them just say "uploading" like FOREVER with nothing happening. I'm talking hours here.

It occurred to me that maybe a firewall is interferring, but all I'm using is Windows (XP) firewall, and I can't see any settings that would disable it to allow an upload or that would specifically allow uploads to that site.

Can anyone offer any suggestions as to what I might have missed?
