Default Hackers!?

So i was playing earlier today and the guy i was playing against kept doing weird stuff. Example, Id be about to score and the next thing i know he is in my goal with the ball!?! What was going on??

One time i even scored and his player got the ball out of the goal and basically jumped all the way to my goal in one move.

Or if you'd like a normal explanation, I believe it's known as lag.

The main issue is not the speed at which data is travelling, even if you have a 512kbps connection it is sufficient to get a decent transfer speed for games. The issue is how long it takes your signal to get from you to the other end, this is know as lag and can be measured with a special command known as a ping. The higher the ping rate the greater the lag, and this delay would allow someone's player to appear to vanish and then reappear elsewhere. In gaming when the lag is quite high you end up seeing only echoes of where the player once was, rather than the actual players position in relation to your own. If it's this try and find a player that's a little closer to you geographically, though I'm not sure if you can do this with PES.

Take a look at Speedtest to get a rough idea of how much lag there is between you and your ISP, then run the test using a location further away to see how the lag/ping changes.

Well, it is funny, because my ping from here to the UK is 173, yet I experience no lag when playing you guys online

@skyman, you probably wouldn't receive lag as such, but for instance if you see a guy running and you fire a sniper rifle with a perfect headshot, your more than likely to miss because they are every so slightly ahead of your screen...and the servers on that speedtest are probably doing thousands of tests at the same time, while the game servers are dedicated to the game...

Well, like I said, it can be him having a bad internet. It happens in SSBB. Me and my friend were playing, and we lagged. He changed his weak wifi to a lan adaptor and we had no more lag.
