I just installed Windows Vista Enterprize and was expecting a dissapointment...not a mac and never will be that good but I must say its not half bad.

It is nice, but the lack of driver support (I know, still early days) was just too crippling for me...

yeah thats an issue for me too but it will do till i buy my mac

Vista looks nice and pretty but is not that much difference that XP with Service Pack 2 installed - Vista just has afew more bells and whistles in it.

I can think of no valid reason why at work I would want to upgrade the 1500+ computers that we have. We shall stick with XP SP2 for the time being.

One thing I would say though, never do an upgrade to Vista - always perform a fresh install as its a hell of a lot quicker! 40 minutes to do a clean install or 3+ hours for the upgrade... go figure!

With past OS's Microsoft have continued to support older OS's for a few years after the release of the new one, so is it true that microsoft are stopping suport for XP soon?

If by soon you mean by the end of 2009, then yes they are!

I think it will take 2 years to increase driver and application support for Vista, by which time the Beta releases of the replacement OS for Vista will no doubt be out!!!
