TBH it's the ping that's worrying me the most.

I know, I was unsure why it was high if you live close to London?? Ping is basically dependant on distance from the server... In my case 200 miles from London, Is about right... Where do you live agaion Nicko?

Worksop (Sheffield). The strangest thing was, I found a site (post a link in a sec) where you can enter your ISP, what package you have, and your postcode, and it will give you an estimated maximum speed (3MB for me). However it also tells you where your local exchange is, and for me it said Worksop which is where I live. If that is actually true, and considering Worksop is about 2 square miles, then surely I should be able to get near enough the maximum speed? It must be wrong, the exchange can't be that close.

I don't know how accurate this is? But I am trying to think back lol, I used to be Tech Support for Orange BB, It is dependant on a couple of factors, not only distance. I haven't done Tech Support for 4 years btw Memory is terrible lol. It kind of depends on how many nodes are on the exchange aswell and how many people are using the exchange.

That seems a brilliant site. Tells you how far you are from your exchange and estimates what your max speed is.
