Im not sure, I did not purchase the router or anything so Im a little vague on the details

I assume its only running this well through the wired connection directly from the router and thats its quite late so less people eating at my internets!

Ok thanks, With Orange it is more than likely a 8MB connection.... I should be getting something like that I might have to change providers. Virgin seem like they have gone down hill.

haha, Thank nutter, Yeah it is VERY low isnt it...It has done my head in honestly... Virgin is very different thoguh.. I am giving Virgin until tonight to fix it and then I am going to cancel and maybe go with o2 and BT line... I can get 8Mb and phone with them for £18 a month rather than paying Virgin £25.95 for being crap and going at snail pace..

well, how good is your computer (OS, Memory/ram, processor)? because your internet will only go as fast as your computer can handle it

All computers are pretty good.. At the moment I am on my Fiancees pink Sony Vaio

Windows Vista (XP on PC)
2 GB RAM
Duel core etc. Shouldn't be the comps... thanks though.

I would at least have the Virgin people look at your connection and settings, if they can't optimize it correctly switch!
