Right, can anybody help me please...
I have bought a new PC from mesh this week, and it has a Hybrid TV Tuner - Digital & Analogue. I have played around on my PC quite a lot, does anybody know what i need, or what I have to do to get this to work? I have plugged in anormal ariel but the picture I get is really poor, I also have a spare digi-box that I can plug in if needed, even though it is s'posed to be a digital TV card. Please somebody tell me what I need to do, I have already been thriugh the media centre wizard thing on vista,m but the pic was poo!

In my experience TV on a PC is "poo" as you stated above, if you have a TV watch it. I tried saving space by having my PC be my TV. ended up boxing the PC up and just sticking to TV. Iv found the PC loses channels, Goes fuzzy and is generally poor
If you must use it though, how strong is your signal, in the settings on your digital box you should see a signal strength bar / text, if its a low / poor signal get a booster or a new ariel
A mate of mine got a Hauppauge HVR 1100 card for his PC which I fitted for him. I thought the interface was a bit clunky and didn't work as well as it should but the TV quality was excellent on both digital and analogue. the card cost £40, came with a remote control and turned his PC into a PVR.
I would think if you have picture quality problems you'd best look at your aerial first, as this is where most problems stem from
Theres nothing wrong with TV on a PC, i have a TV card in my computer as i dont want a monitor AND a tv taking up space, ive had it for years always been fine.
I recently moved from windows to linux, and its still fine.
If you have a crap picture then you have a crap ariel, simple as that.
you mentioned a digi box, you dont need a digi box as your card can receive digital by its self (well thats wot you said).
i would advise using the software that came with it, maybe check the manufacturers website and get the latest drivers.
