That would've been nice...
It's about £10 month of you can pay £100 for a lifetime membership... And you get the first month free.
It sounds like a great game, but I just don't agree with the monthly subscriptions... And £10 is a lot, just to play a game you've bought!

What's Guild Wars like? No monthly subscriptions definately appeals to me
I found Guild Wars to be fun but have no lasting appeal, the PvP felt tacked on as well
I've been round the block a few times and spent more than I've wanted to when it comes to MMOs so this is probably pretty biased but.... It's worth going round the major MMOs at the moment and having a go at their free trials and see if you like it, then paying a monthly fee won't seem so bad
Everquest II has a free trial running at the moment, so does World of Warcraft, if you like team games, I'd personally go for WoW, as long as you pick the right realm and right faction (trust me, there are some awful realms in terms of culture and player base - same goes for the two factions, one is populated mainly by kids ), you're pretty set.
I'll echo Ashy's suggestion of trying UO on a free shard, UO is still probably the pinnacle of MMOs (Sad but true!).
WiiMate - Launching soon! A place to organise multiplayer games for upcoming online enabled Wii games! PM me for more details!

Got Guild wars off Amazon for about 10 Quid the other day, and atm I'm liking it! V.Impressed with the Graphics and the Quests are pretty varied. Read both manuals and thought it was a great story that I'm sure will develop while playing...
Was suprised that you can only see other players in the towns and outposts, but it's obvious why once you start doing the quests. Have done basically all the quests so far on my own, so the 'team' element hasn;t really come into play yet, but I can see it becoming a great game if you have a decent sized party with you.
Anyways that's my 2 cents
P.S The only other one I've played is runescape, so I think I've picked this up pretty well, would recommend.
