I am looking for some adventure/role playing games because I'm a big fan of role playing games. Can anybody recommend some role playing games for the PC?

I know vampire the masquerade: bloodlines has just recently come out. Also, it has great graphics.

Hey, you shouldn't have asked me this questions. LOL! You can get any of the Sims collection. This is a great game contrary to popular belief.

sims is an rts not an RPG :P Try D&DO um dungeons and dragons online they have free europe trial also planetside its in my mind an FPS but people class it as MMORPG for some reason. Eve is a good space RPG star wars galaxy's was ok apparently. neverwinternights is slated by alot as the best RPG or oblivion. theres loads really on and offline city of hero's and city of villans looks good. have a look at fileplanet. or mmohell etc

You can pick up Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale cheaply now, acknowledged classic RPGs.

Oblivion is a good one and a bit more up to date. If you like to combine a bit more FPS/action with your RPGs then Deus Ex is a belter.

No, it has just come out on Steam, it came out just before Half-Life 2. Link.

I also recommend Oblivion and it's predecessor Morrowind. Both quite different games.

If you want something Sci-Fi, Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2 are great.

Also agree with Baldur's Gate, you can get 1 & 2 plus expansions as a pack for £10. Planescape: Torment is also meant to be good, but haven't played it myself.

Guild Wars is a great game, a dozen classes, great scenery, easy controls, decent AI and NO ONLINE FEES !

I think they're on the 3rd or 4th Guild wars game now (dont get factions, was the worst one by far)

It is totally online tho, so if you haven't got Broadband - forget it!

Not a big fan of RPG's as not one yet has had a story line i was vuguely intrested in and wasnt a load of drivel ( and i use to play paper DnD :P ) But i recomend the ones i played

oblivion RPG its fun but pretty bog standard rpg decent graphics.

EVE RPG mmo - i found it incredably borring and didnt find anything in it worth playing but thousands if not more think its uber.

planetside FPS RPG MMO - best game i played ever mmo single player etc it isnt that good any more due to sony owning it but still an excellent game and a 300 player battle with good commanders cannot be replicated in any other game.


WoW & EQ & EQ2 MMORPG's - basic RPG bit borring WoW runs on weak systems as does eq1, EQ2 is pretty but same old same old.

Best fantasy based RPG MMO for me was dungeons and dragons online - excellent fun if you like to play and work as a team but very lacking in content and i found some of the content dull and if you really play it does become very repetative.

best RTS i played and i cant say why because its not even a full game its so basic sadly but still love it is Sid Mears Railroads.

But the game i play most these is real money texas hold'em poker its a kinda RPG FPS RTS MMO :P
