Tried everything I can think of and been onto the the tech guys at HP and they can't think of anything else. Luckily I got a three year warranty with it so it's still covered. Off to HP it goes!.....

How much is a laptop nowadys which can run games that a 6 year old can play ( meaning not too powerful but powerful enough)
How much did you want to spend? You can probably pick one up for about £250 I reckon and I know supermarkets etc do some good deals, although you won't pick up a big brand I doubt. They won't be very powerful aswell so you might want to spend abit more. For £350-£400 you could get a pretty decent one which will last a while.
Sub £400 easily. Even decent specs can be had for just over £500. I remember my wife forking out £1000 for a P4 2.66ghz when they first came out. Oh how things have changed.

Yeah, I paid nearly £1200 for a P4 3.00ghz about 2 years ago (fat good that did me! ). Nowadays you can pick up one with a bluray drive etc for that (or a top spec MacBook Pro.)
