The best type to go for is the official Nintendo wireless Wavebird controller.

As to where to get one? I got mine from CEX but I've also seen them in Gamestation. Last one I saw was £18.

That said, Amazon has them for £19.99

If you know anyone going to or coming from America (aka friend or relative) ask them to pick up one for you. You can go Gamestop.com and check the stock in local shops if you have a where they'll be stayings VIPCODE (aka postcode). They have second hand official controllers selling at $14.99 thats around £7.50!!!

Also you've gotta watch out on Amazon, sometimes the market place has stupidly shipping costs, for instance I bought 2 packets of 4"x6" printer paper and I had to pay the postage twice, which I thought was a rip as they came in the same jiffy bag. I checked and the postage on the Wavebird and its only £1.99 so thats not too bad, but CEX do free delivery.

Don't you miss out on the rumble in the wireless controller? It took me a while before I tracked down a second controller for my cube.

Beware buying Wavebirds from Amazon, check the description to make sure it's an official one. I bought one and it turned out to be a cheap third party version, fortunately I did get my money back.

Yes. Although I personally don't see it as much of a loss.

I picked up my wavebird for £15 off ebay. It was a little bit grubby, but 10 minutes with some weak ethanol brought it up nicely.

Got mine brand new/sealed from play.com for £18.
They're out of stock currently but it's worth checking as, by my count, they've had about 3 "episodes" of getting stock in and when they do, they pull the price down to £18 to shift stock - every time.

My bro' also got 2 this way from an early batch at Play.

I had the wavebird, which was absolutely amazing,

but I've seen an unofficial gameboy pad that includes a memory card for only £9.99 at toys'r'us the other day, not too bad!
