Default Zelda: Four Swords

I've just ordered Four Swords for the gamecube to play on my Wii, I was hoping someone could tell me if I need a Gameboy advance to play it two player?? Also if I splashed out and picked up a couple of GBAs and cables would they work on the Wii???

Ehh i only played the game once. I thought the game was really fun, but you need a Gameboy Advance or SP to play it with friends. It's still a really fun game, and it's even more fun when you play with friends. I think the game should come with a special link or adapter the you hook up to the Game Cube and the Gameboy. Im not sure if the adapter is going to fit into the Wii, but if it doesn't you won't be able to play the game. with friends.

Check this out though: "The new four-player Zelda connectivity adventure combines gameplay on both the GameCube and Game Boy Advance for a mix of competitive and cooperative multiplayer fun. By hooking up GBAs to the GameCube, the action will move from the television screen (when players are on the overworld map), to the GBA screen (when entering houses and caves). Players work together to brave 24 challenges in eight levels in Hyrule Adventure (1-4 players, multiplayer only with GBAs), or compete in 10 frantic multiplayer versus battles (2-4 players, GBAs required) and stamp races (1-4 players, GBAs required). Takes place in similar environments as the SNES classic Link to the Past, but features updated character sprites, new special effects, and overall improved graphics."

It doesn't tell you that you can't play 1 player with a Gamecube controler, let alone without even metioning you can. Well find out when you get it.

Ok, so I'm getting a little closer! I found a review on youtube of it from which I took this screen grab and you can see that you can play one player with a gamecube remote, and two to four player with extra gameboy advance consoles. So now the question is do the gameboy advance consoles work as controllers on the Wii? If anyone knows please let me know, or if you have the required hardware please try it out!

For some reason (don't quote me on this) I have a feeling the Gameboy Advance cables aren't supported on the Wii.

I have some, and a few gamecube games that apparently use them (as well as an Advance) but I cant test it out for you at the moment as my Wii is being repaired by Nintendo.

If it works, I'd gladly sell the cables to you cheaply, as I am never likely to want to use them.

I've gotta send my wii back too, I've got trouble with the pixels, I've arranged to send it back but I'm stalling as I've just got Mario Galaxy! It turns out my brother has a Gameboy Advance SP which he is giving to my mum, so I'm gonna pinch it, I've just gotta get a cable to see if it works! Thanks Woo Elephant, I might take you up on the offer.

I've received conformation that it'll work so I'm pleased and now on to look out for another Gameboy Advance!
