What was your first Nintendo console? - WiiTalk

Has anyone done this poll before? If so I apologise, couldn’t find it!

I was wondering what was your first Nintendo console?

My introduction to Nintendo came in my final year at Uni. My flatmate had a great idea for his dissertation. He investigated the effects of competitive behaviour on people – by playing them at Mario Tennis!

He hooked his subjects up to monitoring equipment and measured their physiological responses to either being congratulated on playing well, or mocked for playing badly.

A requirement of his project was that he had to beat everyone he tested, hence the introduction of Mario Tennis on the N64 to our flat! We had many happy hours of ‘practise’ (purely in the name of science, obv). And that was my intro to the world of Nintendo. The best thing about it was that uni supplied the game!

This was a long time after N64s were new, and we only ever played 2 games (Tennis and Goldeneye). The Wii is the first Nintendo console that I have experienced from new.

So was wondering whether most other people have previously owned Nintendo consoles, and if so which ones, how far back does your relationship with Nintendo go?

(if I've got the timeline wrong, just let me know and I'll change it!)

My first Nintnendo Console was the NES. I can't remember the year lol but me and my sister got it with our birthday money

mine was also the nes but before that i had a few of the handheld game and watches if that counts!

NES then SNES which was the best console ever (cept N64

Hello I still have the SNES and it has never been used and it is still in the box pretty cool huh.

Well I did buy it twice one for using another for a collection but I have not got a clue how much it is worth also I wanted to get the power glove but it only came out on america.

My first Nintendo console was the GameBoy (I put GameCube by accident on the poll).
