What was your first Nintendo console?

I think the progression in our house went:

Cube
GBA
N64
Gameboy Colour
DS
Wii

We never owned any consoles older than the N64. Originally bought the N64 and GB Colours so that my boys could enjoy the older Pokemon games in all their glory. We obviously bought other games for them as we had them though.

I really wish I had been into gaming during the NES/SNES days. Feel like I really missed out (Although I have probably played all the decent games from those consoles one way or the other anyway)

SNES here. Got the one with Mario All Stars + Super Mario World bundled. Wow was the last one the best game ever. I played it again recently and still remember most of the levels. My mum even commented that she recognised the music.

As for other Nintendo consoles.

My first experience was Mario Kart on the SNES endless times!!

I think the N64 was the first i actually owned tho.

I had everyone of these in the order they came out as ive always been a nintendo boy at heart.
As good as the N64 and the Wii are/is nothing will ever beat the SNES. Super tennis, super soccer,super mario world in fact 90% of its games were super something but the reason it stands out is the control pad and streetfighter 2 in your own living room............................best christmas ever that year.

P.s. Sue ill bet youve missed loads of classics like Snake rattle and roll and Unirally to name 1 from each console you missed.

I had the NES with Duck hunt and Super Mario Bros !! - also I had the SNES at a later stage - which holds the fondest memories for me - Mario Kart Mario world, Pilotwings, Super street Fighter aahhhh Happy days !!! I also had the super scope ! - what an awesome piece of kit !

How much can't i wait for Pilotwings Wii, both the prequels rocked hard.

I have heard that there are no plans to release it for the Wii sadly- I would love it too - they shouldnt make it to "realistic" I loved the physics of the game mixed with the "nintendo" graphics - Loved it to bits - didnt play the N64 version much - played the SNES version to death though !!

Oh its coming my friend, its coming next year. I found a random article the other day while browsing some site i cant remember.
Nintendo often skip a console with series game look at Metroid for example after the smash hit super metroid they didnt bother with the 64.
