Default Worth buying GC games for my Wii?

Hi all,

I've had a PS2 and Xbox in the past but my Wii is my first Nintendo... Right, confession out of the way.

Is it worth me buying 1/2 GC Controllers and some second-hand games on ebay? Are they still playable as "new" games nowadays (bearing in mind that there won't be any nostalgia involved for me)...

I'm thinking of maybe Prince of Persia Sands of Time, Splinter Cell and maybe Bust-a-move or Tetris etc...

I think you should get a controler, They are very cheap these days and also the games. I would recomend you should buy supersmash bros for the GC. Just search around game website and find some GC games that you might want to play.

Definitely worth a look - have rediscovered Pikmin since getting my Wii and having a dig through my GC games (had to decide what to trade in - Pikmin, Zelda and HP stayed; hubby's old PC games went )

OK thanks - where's the best place to get hold of a couple of contollers? ebay? I hear that the unofficial ones aren't always compatible.

Any recommendations on puzzle games? Me and the missus used to like playing Tetris and Bust-a-Move against each other on the PS2.....

Cheers.

Have a look in your local Gamestation if you have one, I picked up a decent GC original controller for £5.

Thanks everybody,

I've taken the plunge and raided ebay.

I've ordered a Wavebird controller, 4mb memory card, super bust-a-move 2, tetris worlds and F Zero GX.

Any other good puzzle games apart from bust-a-move and tetris?

Cheers.

Not got them yet - hopefully they'll arrive this week. F-zero was £8.
