IS there anyone else other than me who thinks this is the best of all the zelda's? Ive played, OOT, Link to the past, twilight princess, and windwaker. And for me the latter was the best.
The cell shading was breathtaking at times, and it really did involve you into a fantasy world full of colour and intrigue. The open water gave so much freedom to explore new islands and treasures.
But i see so much on the net saying how OOT on the 64 was better and how TP is better. So here's my question. Is there anyone out there aside from me who not only thinks windwaker is a brilliant game, but also thinks its the best zelda game out there at the moment?

I really enjoyed WindWaker, and it was my first Zelda. The animation really worked, and as you've already said, the wide open sea gave so much freedom to the player.
Congrats on your 1000th post btw, LandShark. I didn't realise you were that near to it.
yeh i agree but when it was relised it did take alot of critasism from"zelda fans"& gaming press but at least nitendo trys to change games and if it dosnt work then they'll try again .. good old nintendo

I think you'll find that the gaming press criticised the game more than the fans...
I do think the game makers need to come up with some different ideas though.
A lot of people, like myself, have played the zelda titles for years and years, and to say the story aspect (even all the side quests) get's a bit repetitive is an under-statement! The obvious motion controls in TP were a good thing, along with the wolf sections, but it's hard to see what else Nintendo can do with the series.
They are notoriously slow in releasing sequels too, so God only knows when we'll see the next one. We may end up waiting for Wii2, which would suck!
This game put me off Zelda for ever. LOL, thats true. I played it a few time trying to really like it but I just couldn't. Although I'm not a Zelda fan I do like The ocarina the best as it's more original. I think WW is the worse, it's kind of a gap between the 2 and doesn't fit in very well with the series
