ok now i got your attention...

got some ideas for there next console? i reckon theres a chance that a new console will come out 2008 or 09. well because... gba 2001... DS 2004/05... well what im saying is they bring out a new console on average, every 4/5 years. but will the DS stay out longer because of its success?

got ideas for the next handheld?

- 3 screens?
- multimedia player like PSP?
- graphics same as ps2/xbox/gc?
- touch screen/s?
- built in stuff? camera? storage|
- cd for games or even smaller cartridges?

my ideas

- one big screen with touch screen and controls slide out if needed.
dont bother making it able to play DSs games... then the DS will continue selling. maybe GBA games compatible.
- if the wii can download home console games, make the next handheld download handheld consoles games, such as GB, GBC, GBA.
- make the screen HD... oooooo, that would be amazing.
- create a home menu with your avator and home, in town of where you live. eg playstation home, animal crossing. then be able to enter eachothers hometown via wireless, wi-fi or hmmmmm 3G? 4G?

Doubt a new handheld will come out for ages. Just look at all of the games coming out for it in this quarter alone: http://www.nintendo-europe.com/NOE/e...NuR9T4bKC Nx_
They are still very popular, and Nintendo have seen this, hence the massive amount of games.
And I can't see the next one having any add on stuff like a camera, because Nintendo don't tend to do that kind of thing.

I really doubt aswell that we will see a new Nintendo handheld for a good few years. The DS is still very popular, ive only had mine a few months and they are still selling out in quite a few places.

and as Jbond said - there are absolutely loads of games coming out for the DS and probably loads in developement. Like the Wii, the DS has so many potentials, so many areas it can cover.

And anyway if we do see a new eventually, my guess it will still be a DS with touch screen ect, maybe a new design with better graphics, and there was a mention of a patent that Nintendo bought for a DS with motion sensors.

So no, no stupid wacky stuff is going to happen, nintendo like it simple remember!
