I'm guessing it wouldn't for the simple fact that they are 2 completely different games consoles. Can't you just use a wii freeloader to allow playing ntsc GC games? but i have no idea
Yep, your best bet is to get a Gamecube. I went round the courses with this and ended up doing that.
In time it's possible that GeckoOS will enable region-free GC gaming, but for now, the only way to play out-of-region GC games on your Wii is to get it chipped. I'm not into that, so GC+Freeloader was the better (and cheaper, given you can get a 'cube for 14.99 from Gamestation) option.
Sean's quite right. The Wii Freeloader was blocked with update 3.3 on the wii, so although it DID work for some GC games (not all) it won't work now unless you prevent 3.3 from loading.
Gamecubes are criminally cheap now - I agree their going rate is £15 in various game shops or online. Grab one and enjoy!
I'll never part with mine, mainly cos I still use the Gameboy Player to play my old GameBoy Advance games on the TV. How cool is that!
Games owned (that I play): EA Playground, Endless Ocean, Excite Truck, Ghost Squad, Gottlieb Pinball, HotD, Kororinpa, Link’s Crossbow Training, Mario Kart, Mario Party 8, MySims, Pinbusters, RE:UC, Super Paper Mario, SSB Brawl, Wii Fit, Wii Play, Wii Sports

When I learned about that it pushed me over the edge. I scored one of those via eBay for less than the 'cube cost me. Now I'm looking forward to breaking out those GBA games that normally never see light unless I take a few on holiday!
