It seems to be the popular opinion of many Nintendo fans that Double Dash is the worst instalment of the Mario Kart series. I'd just like to ask why you all think that. What is it about it that you all hate so much?
IMHO the game is highly underrated and was my favourite version before Mario Kart Wii. Graphics and music are great, two seated cars was a very original idea for the series, nice courses and comfortable controls.
If I were to say which one was the worst, I'd say Mario Kart 64. The cars drove at a snail's pace, some of the courses were quite poorly designed, I didn't like the graphics much either and don't get me started on the music and speech. If I hear "here we go" one more time I'm gonna scream!!

I don't have a least favourite version of the franchise. I've loved them all.
I have never actually played Super Mario Kart from the SNES although I have played some of the tracks via the retro sections of the later versions.

My most wanted VC game that has shown no signs of appearing as yet would be Super Mario Kart, to complete my collection.

The skill is in selecting two characters that will offer different special items that compliment each other well, then switching their seats during the race to allow you to fire the correct item at the correct time. It was a brilliant idea!

I have only played Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart Double Dash and Mario Kart Wii, and my favourite is Marion Kart on the N64. I have just Sold Double Dash, for nearly the same price as Mario Kart Wii, which proves some people like it.
I wasnt that keen on it in general. I didnt like the use of the second character, it bugged me a little bit and took it away from the game.
It was okay, but I didnt think it was anything special.
As for Mario Kart Wii, I dont know what it is, but I am amongst many who have encountered headaches immediately after starting to play this game. I like the addittion of new levels and holding on to the classic levels.
All in all though I thought the N64 version was the bets, it was just origonal and played well imo.

I didn't care one way or the other for the second character. What I DID like, and I severely miss in MK Wii, is the special powerups. I used DK with toad, and the golden shroom got me the lead, and the giant banana kept it. Oh, how I miss that giant banana.
The tracks weren't that great though, in general, compared to MK Wii.
I loved the idea of 2 people as well, Koopa and Paratroopa FTW*, and I think fan's didn't like it because.... I really have no idea. If they didn't like having 2 people, then just ignore the second one. I recently downloaded a rom of the original, and it was really great. They only had 5 items, so you couldn't get to the finish line in first and end up not crossing until 6th. Only had shell, nana, shroom, star, and the very rare yoshi egg. If I had to rate the MK games, this is what they would get.
1.MKWii - Online. That is all I need to say
2.MKDD - Who doesn't love 2 people? Apparently everyone.
3.MKDS - Best DS game I ever played (Excluding pokemon )
4.SMK - It may not look like much and it may only have 12 courses, but NO ITEMS to screw you up.
5.MK64 - Added in the items that screw up the game.

1, MKds amazing game and my first online experiance
2,MK dd on my beloved cube great fun and still play it
3,MK super circuit great fun although i found 150cc to fast for the little screen
4,MKwii i need to give this game more of a chance as ihavn't had much play time on it yet but it seems alot more luck based then previous versions
5,MKsnes great fun loved it at the time (like sue would love it on the vc)
6,MK64 i have it on vc but havn't played it much due to liking other version more
