All DSs are region free (I've got a couple of US games for my UK DS), so that shouldn't cause any problems - just make sure the mains adaptor's voltage is safe.

God appeared to have reacted badly to Bede's prayer for electricity to charge his DS

Yep, I had Starfox and March of the Minis a few months before UK release I seem to remember - and for a lot less money. Not tried any Japanese games personally, but presume the same applies.

That's what I thought (and why I haven't bought any).

Saying that, it never put me off PC Engine games - didn't feel I ever really missed out (and a surprising amount of English text appears in Japanese games).

All DS games work in all Ds's... it is a wonderful thing!

I wanna get the Japanese Version of Elite Beat Agents (can't remember what it's called) as apparently it is just so much harder and more exhilirating.

As far as I know a convertor would be enough wouldn't it? I thought they balanced out the voltage difference as well as made the socket fit?
