would you recommend a DS?

my 5 year old is getting one for christmas. i have it now and from what i can tell it's gonna be a pretty cool system. i hope it's worth it.

yeah its great your kid will love it! mines been neglected a bit lately because my wii but before that i played it to death lol!

Deffinatley worth it, make sure you get mario 64 DS for it too.

My 2 youngest are 8 and 11 and they had their DS's last christmas and they still play theirs daily, they were probably the best christmas presant I've ever got for my kids.

My five year old loves his, he particularly likes Mario Kart and Super Mario Brothers, he does find Super Mario 64 a little difficult though.

It's great! And you can fill in gaps in the Wii's release schedule with a bit of handheld fun. (Not to mention the Wii - DS connectivity that should become more prevalent over the next 12-24 months). We currently have 5 DSs in the house (although 1 is really only good for spares / repairs).. .. .. ..

I love the DS. I originally had 1, but it's touch screen broke, so I got a mariokart special edition that has a red top. I would reccomend mario 64 ds, which was my first game for it, and also mariokart.

I didn't rate mine. You may dis-agree but its my opinion lol. I got it when they first came out, and the lack of games was dredful. I sold it in the save up process for my wii

i wnated the zelda special edition, but my wife was like 'it's hers' lol. so if they still have the zelda one when i get enough money, i'ma buy it too. but i think it'll be gone
