getting a DS!! - WiiTalk

i just ordered me a nintendo DS and it is coming tomorrow!

i thought i might as well get myself because i was always on my brothers and my sisters DS.

i am going to get zelda : phantom hour glass!

any other things people recodmend i get for the DS?

Well, if you've got wifi, you really ought to get Mario Kart! It is stunningly great fun. One of the first games we bought, and still play it almost daily! Esp online!

Also, I highly recommend Metroid Prime Pinball. So different from m ost DS games, but really good gameplay.

if you get an r4ds from amazon you can play every game for nothing and all the great japanese releases that never get released and all the usa games early. why do people buy games when you can get them for nothing?

i am getting an R4 DS, but not for these reasons. i am going to get msn on it, and the organiser, bluemoon shell to play mp3s and mp3 vids

yeah i think i might just get mario kart.

any others?

Hi - I just got my DS about a week ago. Which one are you getting? I got silver

I'd recommend brain training, it's good fun and really does feel like it's improving my brain !
Harvest Moon and Animal crossing are both really good and are the sort of games that will last for ages.
Yoshi's island is also fun.

also, i do not like the brain games, my brain cannot kick into gear just like that

i am getting a white one, i love that colour, and it wil also look cool when i put it by my wii when it is not in use

Make sure you have nice clean hands if your getting the white one I've seen a few that have become discoloured on the shoulder buttons, why I got my son a nice black one, lol.

I like playing Mario 64 DS on my kids and I keep trying to get Pokemon Diamond of my son so I can have a go on it but he keeps hiding it from me :(

he probably doesn't trust you with his pokemon!

my brother was like this, but that was because i am class on it having had the earlier ones for a few years

he came to me and got me to do the elite four for him

i always wash my hands before touching anything white, especially my wii. the DS will be no different

Yoshis island, well I have only played a bit on it so can't give too much detail! Basically it's kind of like a mario game i.e. there are various levels to complete and you wander around, doing various things. It's good though, cos you use the bottom screen and the stylus to point to where you want to go.

Harvest moon is good, takes a little while to get into, but I have happily spent a few hours at a time playing it.

I've heard that the white ones aren't as good quality - not sure if this is true but i'd check it out before buying.
