I have had to deal with a major family issue hence the lack of online again :\ (it's all to do with my sister's theft if anyone remembers from before)
Apologies if this is the wrong thread to ask it, but I didn't wanna make a whole new one.
Anyway I'm wanting to buy my girlfriend a new DS game, as she's kind of lost interest in the thing recently. She currently has MK DS, Zelda, and Brain Training. I've tried to convince her to buy Pokemon but she's having none of it.
She seems set on buying New Super Mario Bros. however I'm a bit unsure as we're currently working through Galaxy and Paper Mario for the Wii. Is the DS game worth it? Or is it too similar to the other two to warrant buying at the moment.
So any recommendations that an 18 year old girl would like would be brill.
P.S. We can't really go online on the DS at the moment.
Our Wii always seems to be on Wii Fit for someone or another these days, so we have been playing our DS's to death recently instead.
Currently my favourite DS games are:
1) MySims - quite different from the Wii version, and beautiful to play. A real change for those of us that like a more family-friendly game.
2) 7 Wonders of the Ancient World - picked this up cheap and was quickly addicted to it. A simple puzzler where you complete stages to build each wonder of the world in turn, and see information about its origin onscreen. Cute graphics and atmospheric background music add to the fun factor. Strictly one for puzzle enthusiasts only.
3) Mario Kart - still has to be in there, though not played so often lately
4) Touchmaster - the game most often in my DS, since the day I bought it!
5) Sight Training - better than it sounds, though I MUST get my Eye Age down below the 50's! I especially enjoy the Boxing game on there.
Games owned (that I play): EA Playground, Endless Ocean, Excite Truck, Ghost Squad, Gottlieb Pinball, HotD, Kororinpa, Link’s Crossbow Training, Mario Kart, Mario Party 8, MySims, Pinbusters, RE:UC, Super Paper Mario, SSB Brawl, Wii Fit, Wii Play, Wii Sports

Indeed. For those who haven't tried it yet, and are in the wonderfully envy inducing position of having a functioning Wii and DS, a demo of Sight Training is available to download. Interesting looking game.
God appeared to have reacted badly to Bede's prayer for electricity to charge his DS
Yes, I actually bought it as a result of trying that demo! It was nice to see something different on there, and be able to give it a go.

We got our first DS lite yesterday Don't know why I didn't get one sooner! Unfortunately we don't have enough games yet to put my top 5 lol. Can' see it being long though got Solitaire 101 in one (free with DS) and Brain Train Academy aswell.
Touchmaster is sooo addictive isn't ot Sue hehe! My Fiancee has not a big game player. But her mum has a DS and Touchmaster, so has been playing it the past couple of weeks (stopping now and again for food etc) hehe. I think Jodie would really like something like a Sims game aswell. I am unsure of what one though, we will have to have a look into them, there is quite a few isn't there?

MySims is very different from the actual Sims franchise. My son enjoys those and particularly likes Sims 2 Pets and Sims 2 Castaway on DS, if that helps.

Thank you Sue, I will have to get her to watch some videos on Youtube maybe of a few different ones so she can see what they are like. Thanks again
