Ive had it sitting on top of the router.

This is really annoying me. I can use my laptop downstairs wirelessly, my wii is a good 5 feet away from it and it works, i can use my psp wirelessly anywhere in the house aswell, but my bloody ds wont work. theres not something you need to switch on on the ds is there like on the psp that im missing?

Well ive got metroid prime hunters ordered so im gonna try it with that.

im quite annoyed.

hi what router you got? i took my new Belkin router back to the shop and got a D-Link and it works great. In my last house I had a Belkin also that worked but kept dropping the connection. There is a facility on nintedo site to enter the make and model of your router to see if it is compatible.

NintendoWIFI.com

If you cant do it post the name and model of your router and ill look it up or you.

..oh and in addition to that comment...the Belking router connected wifi to the other computer and tne Wii without a problem..it was just the DS that it had a problem with ..strange (AND it was Belkin helpline that suggested I take it back!!)

Hey thanks for the advice. My router model isnt on the nintendo website, i had already looked it up.

I have a cable and wireless router that i got from argos.

Dont know if i can take it back though as i dont have a reciept and worry that i have everything else working with my current router, if i got a new one, it would be a great hassle setting it up again. you know how awkward wireless networking is LOL

So if there are any more advice that you could give me before i resort to taking it back then that would be grateful!!

Thanks for your help!

the router i got cost about 5o notes and it was very easy to set up. It didnt work straight away but one call to their help desk and it was sorted. its a d-link di-524. Argos are pretty good at taking things back. Failing that you could sell it on ebay! I know its a pain taking stuff back but at my last house I battled away with a router that didnt work well (also a belkin!) and may as welll have got a different one.

Have you tried setting the ip address etc manually instead of it automatically setting it itself?

What is the make and model?
