hi guys
want to get a racing game for my new ds...
which you guys on here helped me to finally get
but i've read reviews on the web about these two
mario kart ds
and
diddy kong racing ds
can't seem to decide between the two so was just wondering whether or not any of you guys had played both
or one
and which you think is better than the other
which of the two offers more
and which is the hardest to put down ?
I havnt seen/played Diddy Kong Racing but I played Mario Kart the other night on mates DS and wasnt blown away. Then again I wasnt a Ninty fanboy back when I was young so I wasnt expecting much

Judging by the N64 versions... Mario Kart was the one for me I had friends who owned Diddy Kong and there are a lot more courses to chose from, but the overall feel is nowhere near as good as Mario and the multiplayer battles on Mario were just first class!

Diddy Kong Racing on the N64 was the best racing game around! The fact they mixed flying, driving and hovercrafts (in some maps you could choose either one of them!) was great, Mario Kart is shallow in comparison, and lets face it, shallow in comparison to most racing games, it's never added anything new to the genre other than good map design

mario kart shallow? i don't think i have ever played a driving game with as many levels of depth. sure the blue shells have taken some of the skill out of winning in the last few games but it takes time to get good at MK and the combat system is one of the most rewarding in any game ever. one of nintendo's finest. i would recommend trying the game before slating it.
