Yes, it's an oldie, but streuth, it's a goodie!
I think one of the first games I bought for the DS was Worms and having just bought LM a DS of his own I got it out and dusted it off so I could give him a good thrashing on it.
More fool me, he's a Diva on it and battered me the first game we played!
What I didn't realise is the Wi-Fi capability on it. I've no idea why they put a Wi-Fi logo on the front of the case for us thickos to
not look at! And here's the surprising thing, everytime I've logged on to play a random match, I've never had to wait more than 30 seconds to be connected to someone.
This small discovery (read the instructions dim wit!) has brought a new lease of life to an otherwise dust collecting classic sitting on the shelf.
For those who have never played worms before, the great appeal is in the randomness of each game. No two are ever the same. The best bit about the Wi-fi capability is that you get to play against another human being, who, unlike the cpu, can make mistakes and human errors.
I was looking at treating myself this month to a new game for the Wii, but with this little gem safely tucked in the back of my DS, I'll put the money on one side and go for TW2010 and M+ in a months time
If anyone else has got this and fancies blowing up a few retro worms in the near, please let me know! With the summer hols coming up I'm sure LM would like to join in as well if I can pick up another copy for him.
