Default Ubisoft Announce Jam Sessions For Nintendo DS: "It's a guitar in your pocket"

Strum your DS touch screen to make some music with Jam Sessions. Ubisoft have announced Jam Sessions, coming exclusively to the Nintendo DS. The interactive title, not just another guitar-rhythm game, reproduces acoustic guitar sounds by strumming the lower DS touch screen.

From John Parks, EMEA Marketing Director: “Jam Sessions is an amazing title with limitless potential to entertain and engage a wide audience of people who love music, guitar and singing. Basically, it’s a guitar in your pocket but that’s just the beginning. It’s a chance for people who have never thought of themselves as ‘musically inclined’ to jump right in and play through entire songs, compose their own music and sing along with friends.”

Features include:
- Strum the lower DS screen to produce sound from a digitally remastered acoustic guitar
- Record and Playback
- Performance Mode: Play along with "yesterday and today’s hottest artists"
- Free Play Mode
- Tutorial Mode

Guitar Hero was just announced yesterday for the DS, but that won't be here until early 2008. Check out screens below and you'll see the presentation and interactivity of Jam Sessions is different from Guitar Hero.

Think of something from your childhood, a vivid memory. Between that time and now, every cell in your body has changed. So, were you really there?

As interesting as this looks I might just give it a miss. The reason being that I've always planned on learning to play a real guitar and if I get this I'll never get around to it!!

I would of got it... but I've got the Wii.Also If I'm on the road I'd be on AC:WW so I'd be wasting money buying an other D.S game.Seems pretty good though, yet It seems a little bit boring learning guitar on my D.S which I wont exactly get anything out of...
