Not quite sure where exactly to put this, but I figured this will do.
I was reading through some Wii articles and websites and found that a lot has been made and will be made in the future regarding Wii-DS interactivity. I was wondering, however, how many of us own both a Nintendo Wii and a DS/DS Lite.
Personally, I only own a Wii, and don't really plan to buy a DS.
There are certain times that a Wii just can't be used - eg.train journeys. It is for those occasions that only a DS will do!
As for the connectivity between Wii and DS, I think that it will open up another option for wireless control that can only be good. . . Think RPG on the Wii using the touch screen of the DS. It makes me tingle in anticipation!
The DS is great in it's own right, with a large catalogue of games that will help to fill in the flat spots between Wii releases. . . I bought Yoshi's Island DS this week. Absolutely fantastic.
As I've said in another thread I'm saving it till the summer - having said that I've had the odd go on it, I like it when you close the DS then open it and hear the word YOSHI. New Mario game does a similar thing close it and Mario says Bye Bye, open it and "It's me Mario"...A bit sad I know but I like stuff like that.
It's like in Animal Crossing, when you close your DS your character starts to sleep. Looks quite cute! (Obviously you can't see it 'cos it's shut! The only way you could see it is if you're at someone's town, or visa versa, and they put their DS into sleep mode.) These little things amuse me too.
I put YES BOTH as my DSlite will hopefully be with me soon
Yay!!
Don't get me started on Animal Crossing. I've played it EVERYDAY since UK release day, 31st March '06. It's a good game, really addictive and the Wi-Fi aspect's good, as long as you have some good people on your roster. I'd recommend 42 Classics too, I play that nearly everyday also. Sigh, I seem to have no life.
Prize goes to the first person who tells me how many times I used the word 'good' in that post.
WOW...look at all the retro goodness on offer here <salivates wildly>.....
scramble
gradius
time pilot
Yie ar Kung Fu (I mean, come on....)
a rigar type game
etc
etc
etc
ahh, 42 classics! I always have a couple of games of koi koi before bed!
<please - no shy, ornamental fish jokes>
Konami classics - TIME PILOT! OMG! How many 10p's did I put in that?
UK release not until the Autumn though.. .. ..
OH PANTS..... , I completely missed that <doh>
...but here's a question though, isn't the DS region free?
Meaning that I can get it from here now and pay less anyway (£18.67 with free shipping)
PS my bro feels the same about Time Pilot...he's promised to steal the DS if I order it (I myself am more "moist" over scramble and yie ar kung fu...<yuck>)
