Thinking of upgrading my ds to a lite, got a few questions about it though

Does the NDS charger work with the lite?
Whats the main differences between the two?
Can you suggest any accessories for it?

No the lite charger is different. The DS original had a USB sorta sized connector but the lite has a mini usb sorta connector.

1/3 of the size, more brighter screens, larger stylus, microphone moved, power button on side, cover for GBA slot, start and select buttons moved

Can you suggest any accessories for it?
Case (d'uh) is the most obvious

Well if you;ve got one already, the lite will fit but will most likely move around, you can get a cheap one anyway.

Gamestation had a deal where you got a starter kit for free with the DS and a game - comes with case, spare stylusesesseseseses, headphones and games cases. And an in-car charger I think as well - but that may have been from the kit Mrs Ed got in Asda for 15 quid

Ya may wanna hold out and see if the rumours of a new model DS to replace the Lite is or isn't coming out if this is the case

There's rumours of possibly around Christmas, or it could be tosh

Thanks for this thread. I'm thinking about getting a DS as well (love the Wii so much, I want something portable to play as well.) I'll be watching for anymore replies.

I don't see nintendo releasing a new DS version for ages yet, the sales are still excellent everywere (except they may have dipped in Japan from what I hear.)

I traded my psp for a ds lite ages ago and I've never looked back. you can now get a ds paddle for use with a few games which I've found to be great, although they are begining to sell out (even in china)

As others have said, get yourself a headset with built in mic, carry case etc
