I got the golden watering can. Relief!! I'm going to have to start selling some flowers, though. They seem to be popping up everywhere.

I'd offer you a few pocketfuls of stuff as I'm having a mass clear out today, but you can't get on-line can you? Congrats on the golden watering can, I've not even attempoted to go for a perfect town yet (my excuse is I'm kinda busy at the moment )

Sorry to double post, but I'm getting confused about a couple of things and it has been a few days since this thread saw life (I tend to kill most of the threads I post on).

This perfect town business, is it all about trees or do you have to balance flowers as well? I'm guessing that you need to keep the weeds down and the flowers watered etc, but if it's solely on trees, wouldn't it be easier to demolish all the flowers so as to not have to worry about watering them?

Secondly, I'm sure I read somewhere that Brewster will look after your 'Oidz collection, but I can't for the life of me figure that one out. I've drank there every day for a fortnight, tried having a conversation with him, listened to his tales of Woe, but still nothing. Any suggestions?

Finally, what is with KK in Brewsters every Saturday. I've tried asking for a song, but he doesn't seem to know any Pink Floyd or Dire Straits. Can anyone give me a nudge on where I'm going wrong here as well?

I'm not looking for all out spoilers, but some help would be good.

Squigs.

Hi ya Steve!

OK, now firstly, the perfect town - it's a combination of

1) No weeds
2) Even distribution of trees
3) flowers

You do need flowers to get things just right, so don't get rid of them all!

I mentioned to you that Brewster looks after your gyroids, but he only does that on the Wii version! Sorry, I didn't realise at the time.

Since finding that out, I no longer bother to keep hold of the darn things, and just sell 'em all to Nook, because they clutter the place up.

K.K. Slider has his own repertoire - he doesn't do Floyd or Straits stuff! If you don't want to see the list, you'll just have to say you don't have a song name for him, and he'll give you a random song. If you want to see the list, it's the same as the one for the Wii, which is here:

AC: Let's Go To The Wiki - K.K. Slider Songs

Hope that helps a bit. You'll have to let me know when you're free to get online together again. If you see my town it might help you work out what to do to get yours perfect.

Thankyou Sue, now I know there's no need to persevere with the bird vomit unneccessarily

With regards to the perfect town, I've just tipped the scales from Not enough green to Too much green, but the event of chopping down a fir resulted in there not being enough green once again. I think this time I'm going to go with planting flowers rather than trees to see if that will balance things out.

I'l be sure to visit KK this Saturday and not request anything. The irony to this is that I actually play with the sound off as it drives the other half up the wall (especially at 4 in the morning ) Still, nothing lost for trying.

Little Man has just got his own copy and is 2 days into building up his empire, so maybe a visit could be arranged soon so he could see someone else play. I don't think he'll last too long on it, his attention span is about that of a gnats so no doubt Mummy will be taking it ove in the next week or so. We can only hope.

Squigs.

Oh yeah, I went from not enough to too much, and back again, a few times, before I finally got the balance right.

It's EVEN DISTRIBUTION that is needed. Too sparse in one area, and too dense in another will cause problems like this.

But it sounds like you're nearly there.

It would be nice to link up again - maybe you, me and LM could all link up at the same time? That would be cool!

Just to update, I got my 20th Jacob's Ladder this morning - they seem much more frequent than on the Wii version, where I still only have 16!

That bloomin' gold can doesn't water more than one space either, does it!

So that hasn't helped at all. Still by trial and error, I have about 12 hybrids. But it's much harder and more labour intensive than on the wii.

Try as I might, I'm just not feeling the love for this version, but I can't quite bring myself to give up on it. Caught a few new bugs yesterday and today, but I never get the urge to go looking for them all, like I do on the wii.

My sentiments, exactly ... though I'm rapidly losing interest.
The gold watering can did me no good either. I water my best flowers every day and they still wilt by morning, so what's the point. Now I basically just look for the wilted ones. All sorts of new flowers pop up every day, so my town is over run by them which I've been selling back to Nook. And I miss the grass.

Isn't the golden watering can inteded to be used on wilted black flowers in order to turn them into golden flowers? I seem to think I've read that somewhere for some reason.

I'm still no closer to having a perfect town, but with the weather being as grand as it is, drinks and a BBQ are much more inviting

Well, yes, on the Wii version. Probably not on this one though. Nothing decent seems to happen in this one!

Well impressed with your post to Bede, BTW - nice one, Steve!
