Been playing the demo this morning and really liked it, this could be a purchase for me
Quite the opposite for me. Maybe I would need to adjust some settings. There didnt seem to be many players in the games I played because I set 3 charges and only encountered 2 people. Good graphics and that but Im not sure about it.... Plus I got disconnected in every game I played....I know, its a demo, but still.
I tried this last night.. after not getting into a game with avp2 I found this to perk me up a little
I was on the defending team and got my first kill in a few seconds. after that I spent 2-3 minutes running around the terrain getting used to the controls. I was meant to be defending but there didn't look like anyone was attacking to keep them at bay!!
I think in the 5-10 minutes I played there was 4-5 times we had the chance to defend. Once against a tank which I thought was pretty cool. Had a whizz round on a quad bike (can you shoot while on vehicles).
I thought I would go find the enemy but I was being told I was leaving the boundary and a timer starts If I let the timer end would I die?
From what I have played I will be trying this again looks like it could be a good title to play. as benny mentioned I am going to check the control settings I have one's I use on cod etc that I would like to custom set to my gamestyle.
It does have potential, held my attention for 15 minutes, although it does feel like you're running through Jelly and when you die, you look like you're laying a Claymore.
Just took a while to get back into the battlefield way of things after all that CoD. In terms of comparison with MW2, I'd say they're aiming at slightly different markets. MW2 is an arcade-style shooter with bright colours and points being awarded left right and centre for various things, along with gimmicks like kill streaks and perks.
Battlefield on the other hand is much more of a classic 'Hardcore' team shooter where you have to work together to succeed and have a good balance of classes. I find it much more rewarding for this because, even in the team modes, there really is only a very slight amount of team-play to be found in MW2. The number of times I've played domination and seemingly been the only one trying to get the bloody flags
I know the same thing will happen with Battlefield(It has done on all previous incarnations), but it will happen a lot less often and people will soon realise that Battlefield rewards team play, whereas CoD doesn't.
Chuck in massive maps, vehicles and the brilliant Frostbite engine, I think you're onto a winner! Although it will never sell as much as CoD, I can honestly see myself playing this game more in the future because of these reasons and the fact it seems to work online

I feel that when the hype around COD dies down, this will definitly be something to get into. It seems more of a thinking mans FPS to me, don't like the lack of acknowledgement when you kill someone though, a beep would be nice, something to get used to I suppose. The vehicles are good and agree, team work is essential, quite clever the way it forces you to work together.
I agree with all your sentiments so far. It is more cerebral and more "adult" than CoD. I can't believe I'm actually saying it. The graphics are more "realistic" as Foo says compared to the arcade nature of CoD. Very "Band of Brothers" feel to it.
I played as a Medic in the demo. Felt a bit like being a medic in KZ2, handing out health packs and giving fallen teammates a good defib. to revive them. Felt a bit lonely in-game though, can't explain it. I'm amazed at the multiple vehicles on offer and the different stationary gun emplacements available. I got a chance to get on a quad, an APC and a Tank. Got quite a few kills too. The meleeing is not as fun as in CoD though . That knife looks more like a machete - try cutting down the wire fencing and see what I mean.
hi all i have downloaded this but not got on to it yet but after the info on here i will be trying it out today at some time. Trick is to go on demo first before any other games lol mw2 can be a bit of a killing field before you get good weapons etc i think some times to many players in game can kill the flow of it as dieing can get boring lol.
