**WiiTalk Fifa 10 Goal of the Fortnight**

Ok, by now you've all probably seen the discussion in the fifa 10 thread about setting up a goal of the... competition for fifa There's still a few things to be decided which I'll get to in a second, but atm we have the following rules penciled in:

• Goals will be entered anonymously by first sending them in a PM to me, which I can then post in one thread
• The winner(s) will be decided by a panel consisting of neutral parties, so far that's benny
• Difficulty you're playing on will be taken into account and should be stated with the entry
• There will be an award which the winner can keep for a fortnight

I think that's it so far, a few things I've thought of that we need to decide on are:

• How many entries each in one fortnight?
• Can you replace old entries if you score a better goal and have reached your limit?
• Do we accept online goals that are recorded with a phone, etc

Erm, what about everyone just submits them near the end of the week, or at least two during and then one right at the end of the week?

The only problem I can see is the issue of anonymity. For one thing, the submitted goal might have been scored by the person's Virtual Pro, so everyone will know who's goal it is by the name on the shirt or the appearance of the Pro. Secondly, the only way to post them up is to provide the link to the EA Sports Football page where it's located, which also shows the scorers name as it is on their profile.

Thirdly, I've already posted my best goal so far in the main FIFA 10 thread

Good point Nicko. Anon will not be possible. I'm a fair guy. I would only rate goals on merit, not who was playing the game.

3 sounds about right. I guess a video of a goal is acceptable. Can PS3 players upload their goals to a website?

Can phones be allowed as the EA servers aren't always working and a goal can't be uploaded for that reason..

that should be fine benny. I posted a goal from the ea website from the fifa 10 demo on my ps3

Sounds good to me Ive only recorded one so far, all my goals seem to look almost identical Will have to get scoring some corkers because that trophie (award) is coming home with me

If you don't mind, I'd like to add myself to the list of neutral parties to judge said goals. While I don't play these games often, I have before, and I've always been a fan of watching your goals. I'm about as neutral as it gets as I've never played any of you folks at this.

I see no problem with that sherls, always good to have a second opinion.

Another rule which I kind of just assumed everyone would follow is that the goal(s) submitted must've been scored within the 2 weeks and you can't hold back goals from one week to enter the week after

I'm sure everyone got that, but just wanted to have it in writing

Dan mentioned last night about goals scored in the arena... My first thought was that they would be acceptable, but after thinking about it, I reckon it's best we just stick to in-game goals because you can kinda 'set-up' opportunities in the arena and that won't happen in a real game.

So just as a summary of the rules so far:

- Your submitted goal(s) must've been scored within the current 2 weeks
- You may enter up to 3 goals in one 2 week time frame
- Goals will be entered anonymously by first sending them in a PM to me, which I can then post in one thread
- The winner(s) will be decided by a panel consisting of neutral parties, so far that's Benny and Sherlock
- Difficulty you're playing on will be taken into account and should be stated with the entry
- The top 3 goals will be announced with an award going to the winner which they can keep for a fortnight
- Goals recorded on a phone or video cam are accepted, but please make sure they're of a decent quality and the preffered method is via the EA Football World website
- Arena goals are not accepted

I think that's everything...

Seeing as Fifa was released last Friday on the 2nd, the window for the first GotF will close on the 16th(Happy Brutal Legend Day ). So feel free to start submitting your entries!

EDIT: Just checked my best goal and I had the camera on the wrong person how thick am I... Is it possible to edit the save video so I can put it back on the goal scorer? I can not believe how stupid I am
