I know what an HDMI is doylen - I just know that MS usually try and screw consumers into buying lots of proprietary connectors.

Basicly I just wanted the be sure I can use the spare HDMI cable I have under my bed. However the more I think about it the more I'm thinking of PS3 for the Blu-ray (but I'm not sure the games catalogue is as such my type of thing).

I like platformers, racers and anything quirky ie I like mario, Spyro etc, I HATE FPS and GTA. Which is better in the opinions of 'talkers, 360 or PS3 for my games preferences?

if its a standard HDMI to HDMI lead then of course you can use it
