Mario Kart Wii
Here's the big one! The biggest Wii game of the year (so far!). It's been over a month since it's release, so it's about time we got it rated. People have had time to calm time and start noting the games strengths and weaknesses, so hopefully everyone will be able to give it a balanced rating.
Give the game a rating out of 10, with 10 being excellent, 1 being poor. This will help to give people an idea as to how good the game is if they are considering to buy it.
Please consider your vote carefully, and only vote if you own the game. This may sound obvious, but there will always be one voting because they like the look of the game but haven't yet played it.
If you feel inclined to do so, take a few minutes to comment on why you gave the rating you did.
If you want to see a game you want to buy getting the same treatment, post a request in the sticky at the top of this section.
More tracks than ever before. More tricks to learn and more control methods than you could ever wish for.
It's online, it's multiplayer, and it has a solid single player game as well.
What's not to like?
Games owned (that I play): EA Playground, Endless Ocean, Excite Truck, Ghost Squad, Gottlieb Pinball, HotD, Kororinpa, Link’s Crossbow Training, Mario Kart, Mario Party 8, MySims, Pinbusters, RE:UC, Super Paper Mario, SSB Brawl, Wii Fit, Wii Play, Wii Sports
As mentioned above, Online mode, amazing tracks, retro tracks, great karts and a great collection of characters to chose from. I give a solid 10/10 easy. I haven't even played alot online as I'm not the best at it but is amazing still. I play online with a few mates though and it's great It is one of those must buys for a Wii owner in my opinion.

8 for me. I find the gameplay addictive and easy, I find the online mode the best of any game I've ever played, and I find the addition of tricks and the improvement of tracks since MKDD impressive.
But, the luck factor kills this game a little for me. My frustration stems from the shear number of powerups one can get and how this game gives the advantage to those in the back of a large pack rather than the front. I'll never stop playing, and I know they only did it to keep kids in the game instead of getting bored, but I just can't stand when I lose a race I've dominated because of two blue shells, a red shell, or getting 3 straight lightning clouds on the last lap.
8- Basically what sherlock said. Great Online play, great tracks, but the items are so imbalanced. I have been in a position an entire race, then right before the finish line someone hits me with a trio of red shells and I end up in last place.

I have to agree with previous posters here. This game is fabulous yet frustrating. Too many times do you lead the race from the first corner to the last only to get hammered just as you reach the line and then finish 7th. This happens in every form: vs. the AI as well as online. The power-ups would therefore seem to be an issue, but the only one.......
Although it's the first game where I'm glad the wiimote is attached to my wrist otherwise it may have hit a wall or the floor by now.

I agree with the 4 above me. The game is excellent and you can get hours of fun from it, but I have got frustrated and felt like chucking the wheel out the window like a frisbee at moments. All power ups should be made available to anyone, whatever position they may be in, just make the likes of bullet bill rarer to get, but not impossible.
But anyway, despite these few downsides, it is an excellent game, and no Wii is complete without it. It is my first Mario Kart game since the SNES version and I was pleasantly surprised to see how it had improved. Can't wait to start playing again when my exams are over.

The AI is frustrating but what can you expect, motion control is brilliant and tricks to learn, or just move the wheel and were. Lots of new and old racing and battle zones to choose from. Plus theres online play
