Default W.H.B - wii hate bazookas

I am fed up with seeing at least 1 in every 5 players carrying zooks. It takes the fun out of a game when u cant move for some person firing a rocket at your feet. Too many people are picking up the dreaded ''weapon'' and abandining the real weapons. It removes any skill form the game and it really p***** me off. If you also want to see standard weapons and skill put back into the game comment here and vow not to constantly use the damn bazooka. Also note that any game we start should ban the bazooka and then it can be slowly removed from the game and people will stop using it hopefully.

I don't agree entirely ...I mean I know I couldn't win a game against decent opponents with a Bazoo.

However , it is annoying how you just get taken down son easily by them.

But there are a lot of drawbacks to using a bazooka:
-Less ammo
-Painfull reload speeds
-Slower movent and aiming

I do think there is a skill to using them !

^And there is. It's just hard to understand the drawbacks if you haven't used it yourself. The zook has alot of weaknesses. It is slightly overpowered though and easier to win DMs with than any other weapon. But beating a player like marco or Tony Mang back when he played even with their own weapon was/is a really hard task, and unless you are actually able to give them a run for their money that way i don't think you can say that it takes away all skill.
Well it's longranging alone makes it quite clear that it isn't no skill. It is much harder to control zook sniping compared to sniper rifle, and normal rifle sniping.

i see what u mean they are slow reloading and do make your movement slow but the aiming at short range is too easy especially in maps like sewers. With a normal gun in moh only headshots are real quick kills but bazooks dont need skillful aiming at short range as such.

I've got 5 kills with the zook lol!! I only pick it up in the sewers extremely rarely in CTF's - I prefer my chances with the pistol once my main gun has ran out of bullets. There are ways of defending fairly well against it. It does wind you up though in DM's when you are skilfully picking people off and then along comes Mr Potato Head with his bazooka and spoils it for you. The best piece of advise I've heard for dealing with bazooka players is.........run away!!!

I do agree though, there is some skill to using it. I've had a couple of practise games on my own with a zook and just didn't like it, so I never select it as my weapon.

I agree with most of the above. There certainly is a skill to using the zooka properly, and I'd say Mang was one of the few people who did so. To be good withthe zooka you also have to be good with a pistol and /or 'nades as backup weapons due to the lack of ammo. Also sniping with a zook is very hard.

What annoys me however is the influx of noobs and less skillful users who just spam the zook or use it to get quick or easy kills. However, I usually find that they die just as often as the kill as once their ammo is gone they are sitting ducks.

They is certainly a skill to killing a zooka player too. Long range is usually the way to go as most zooka players can't long range with it, so picking them off from a distance is best. Either that or a bit of cat and mouse sometimes works, hitting them abit, moving, hitting them abit more etc until they drop, as most of them feel they are invincible with it so will come after you. The other alternative is to simply run away and then hunt them down when they least expect it!

I'll take this time to apologise to everyone. The other day I found out that the weapon that suited me best was the springy, instead of the bazooka and I now realise how god damn annoying they are in a shoot-up

Snipers = 2 anywhere shots for a kill. (1 shot if you headshot)
The biggest disadvantage for a zook on a sewers map is simply that it can't get new ammo unless it kills another zook meaning it can only get 3 kills per death given he doesn't miss any shots. Well he could get more with pistol or by picking up other guns, but 3 zook kills per death max
I don't mind the zook if there aren't many of them. Even less when grenades are allowed because grenades are one of the zooks really big weaknesses (because of the slow movement, and range preferences). I even prefer 1 zook per team limit in clanwars if they are big enough, as i see them as a strategic element in this case.

And where the lack of aiming with it is the skill of dodging it is as well. Try to abuse the lag and peek around corner and go back to make the zook waste a shot. Taking advantage of obstacles in general is brilliant against zooks. For instance the zook bullet cannot go through fences... All other bullets can so if you are on base behind that big fence the zook can't do anything to you, or just behind the small fence on monastary (well of course the user can chuck grenades and use pistol, but his zook is useless)

I knew you would have no choice but to use them eventually.
