Here are the rules of this tournament:
- Arrange matches in the official tournament thread, by stating a time and sorting out who you are going to play.
- When you are online and playing, make sure you stay for 2 series, so you can get your 2 games done and dusted against that person.
- If, for whatever reason, your connection fails or you don't return for a second match, reply on this thread, so that there are no hard feelings.
- If you can't make a match, reply to this thread, so the other person doesn't waste their time waiting for you to log in.
- Post your results clearly, with GD if possible, to make the updating of the table and keeping track of games to be played much easier.
- When setting up a match, make sure you choose a 3 game series, 3 minutes a game, with no cheats enabled.
- Please remember this tournament is meant to be a bit of fun. Temper's run high, but please don't let them ruin other people's enjoyment of the league.
- Goal jumps and dodge moves are allowed, but in moderation. If people's only tactics are goal jumps, then this will not be accepted.
-Please stick to the same captain throughout the season. If their happens to be a clash, the home player will get their choice over the away player.

Am I correct in assuming that whatever captain you have, you stick with throughout the season???

Yes, I think that rule was used last year. If there is a clash, then the home player will get their choice of captain over the away player.

Dodge moves are where you press a direction on the cross at the top of the Wiimote, whilst moving with the ball.

I'm not so sure about goal jumps, I think it is where you pass the ball and score a goal with another player in mid-air.

But I'll leave if for someone who knows more to give a definite answer.

Goal jumps are when you skip past the goalie using a move specific to a character, like pressing one of the arrows makes Toad jump up (his dodge move) which can be used to jump over the goalie. Dry Bones, Waluigi and Daisy can all do it, amongst others.

dunno how other people feel but i find goals scored by NOT using the super strikes are much more challenging.

completely agree with you on that one! i HATE goal jumps, when the AI does it, it makes me so mad! REGAN SMASH!
