Default To The Mario Kart Wii Hackers

I went on Nint WFC for my usual game of MKart and to my dismay, came across a character(s) who must of somehow modded his console to give an ultimate and unfair advantage in the game.
From the 3, 2, 1 countdown this character was throwing "bombs" at opponents even before anyone had moved off!
With constant "Blue shell" ability and "POW's" and "lightning strikes" just to name a few.
You and any who want to follow your example will make the game invalid and pointless in the doing of such.
Think about others, take your "Cheat" somewhere else!!

is it directed at someone on the forum (it is the way I read the thread header )

In my time playing mario kart on-line I have seen only one instance of (supposed) hacking I was 2nd and could not touch the player who was 1st.

he was half the course every lap and there was no sign of catching him he could have been just fast though. I have heard of what you are talking about but it is from video's from youtube seen nothing when I have played.

On your browse at the forum you should make your way to our mario kart thread. I am sure you will find members who you can play on-line safe in the knowledge of there being no hackers at getting a fair game .

I doubt that the scoundrels responsible reside in these parts. I've only been subjected to such hackers once and it became tiresome in short order - probably for the ingrate as well as myself.

Such events are a good reason to join a community such as this - bragging rights to the victor (or so I'm told. I just have a collection of wooden spoons).

I've not been playing MK online very long, and I've been surprised at some of the distances, my Missus and I, are behind first place sometimes. Can't say I've come accross such hacks that you mention yet though.

Thanks for your replies.
I wasn't doing it to a particular member of this forum, as I don't know who it was or where they were from, but clearly it if other members were to think this is the way forward, it certainly is not (IMHO).
I'm sorry if I gave that impression.
I think it's the taking part that makes MKart the game it is for both young and old.
To have such an unfair advantage in playing a MK WFC game will eventually cause it to be left off from being played.
I hope more of these hackers don't surface.

No apologies necessary I was joking about the header. take my comment with a pinch of salt .

You won't find any players resolving to hacking to get a win on this forum. Gameplaying is what we are here for we live and breath it

There is hackers in every game. an example is cod mw2 has been hit with a few since release (these have been glitches don't know if they can be read as hack) and have been used by players to gain exp etc.

All sony/microsoft/nintendo can do is ban the player or change the code so the hack can't be used.

Although whether that is the case with mario kart I'm not sure as I think it was last year I had heard a story of what you have played against.

I totally agree, I dont see the point of hacking, its not big or clever (well maybe a bit clever). If you play just to win, then you need to get a life. No one is going to admire you or want to be your bessie mate just because you are top to of a ranking, ie all those people who have rediculous scores on COD MW2.
I'd rather come second and know I've had fun and earned it, rather than be given first by cheating. For me gaming has always been about having fun.

Eric B. and Milky hack. How else could they be so good?

And by hack I mean not hack. And by how could they be so good, I mean how could we not be as good.

I know there are players out there who clock an 9000+ ranking, but when you play them you can see it's just thru skill.
My current MK points float around the 6500 mark.
Totally earned through game play. And like Pock and Riddler say, I don't mind where I come as long as you enjoy the game.
