ok so your not exactly the same but still, it should be easier for people the other side of the pond to play together in the first stage as your closer time wise.

I would play if the games were during the week (not Friday to Sunday) and post 8pm. If this is going to be the case, then I can commit 100%. I could fit into the "not so great" group if this is the route we went down, my online rank averages around 5700ish.

I would like to participate in the leagues as well. I wasn't in the last one but would also commit 100%. I can play anytime after 8 weekdays. My online ranking is 5600 odd. Maybe we should determine what groups we're in by our ranking??

We could, but I know my rating is in the, what, 6200-6400 range? Should probably be higher, but because of lack of time, I don't play online as often.

I think a better way would be qualifications through time trial times.

Or:

We could do an eliminator.

Either one on one (probably not) or a double elimination sort of thing. If we have 12 people, we could do two groups of 6 compete. First people in each group to finish dead last twice get eliminated for the next race. After we're below 8 (2 races of 4, one eliminated), we combine for one race, and the same rules apply, until we get down to the final 4 and they'll race in a little series, maybe 3 or 4 races, for all the marbles. Or, we could eliminate to two, and have best 2 out of 3 or 3 out of 5 or something one on one. Just throwing a new idea out there.

We can also make the groups smaller. And we can add other little perks, like exemptions from elimination for a couple of races with race wins (good for people with one last place finish). All depends on how many people we have.

i liked it the way it run last time as it gave everyone in the group a chance to get a few first places

Balanced groups are the best to me, take Group E (Best group ever ) extremely balanced and poised nicely

it would be good another 1 but the number of people in each group would habve to be more and set dates should be put for groups to play on each cup due to the fact that it has taken so long for this tournament to finishso basically lets say on the friday at 10pm mushroom cup that would mean every1 would have 2 play it and who couldent well they wouldent get points i know it might be harsh but then again idleast it would run smoothly
