E3 is tommorow guys, Nintendo gets a nice long annual press conference which is always good fun to watch. Lots of things are revealed and theres a few disspointments too. Here's my predictions for Nintendo at E3 2008.

1. A Resolution of the storage issue

Mainly because the storage issue, is now an issue for a lot of people. With the existance of Wiiware, DS demos and many more N64 games to add to the Virtual Console people will need more space. Of course you could just buy SD cards but im sure Nintendo will cash in on an official solution.

2. No headset

Because when Nintendo does finally (if they ever do and I honestly don't think they will) announce the wii headset they won't do it at such a major conference. More something to be quietly announced just before a sneaky release. As well as this Nintendo to look like its staying true to its simplified and safe online service may get a 3rd party to produce the headset.

3. Pikmin Wii/DS

Nintendo arn't done with this licence yet, The Wiimote clearly could make Pikmin a whole new game and show off how the Wii allows RTS games to work well on a console. Plus its the only big Nintendo exclusive that hasn't been Wii'd out yet with Starfox now confirmed. I reckon if not a Wii game a DS one is a high possibility.

4. No apperence of new Zelda

Yes internet sleuths may have discovered the existance of a new Zelda game. To be fair this is like confirmed a James Bond film. Its coming, Link's return however will not be announced this year because its far too soon. Nintendo needs something to whore out for 2009/10. Two Zelda games would definatly annoy a lot of people who don't think Nintendo's doing enough for their dedicated fanbase.

5. Mario DS game

A 3d one, a very quiet gem awaits us, I dug up the existance of this title by accident and its attendence seems very sutle. Nobody knows about it, Nintendo haven't confirmed it but its been in production at least 2 years now. A 3D Mario DS game would be great on the DS, just look at how well Mario 64 was realised, but a new adventure! Definatly the one im most excited for.

6. No DS redesign

Its too soon, and who wouldn't be incredibly annoyed by it? Nor will Nintendo announce the DS's successor. I bet they just like everyone else on the planet have no idea whats the next step up from a DS. More screens??? high graphics (oh wait Nintendo doesn't believe it in) Theres no rush to bring out a new hand held, the PSP isn't dying yet. Nintendo's doing fine as it is with lower specs than the PSP.

7. More channels nobody cares about

Everybody votes channel, did anyone use that? look at what Microsoft has just announced its doing with its dashboard then compare it to Nintendo and Microsoft have just took the lead with pointless additions. Nintendo seems to love this though, especially Shigsy Mymoto so expect more.

8. New IP's / returning IP's

The existance of Kid Icarus in Brawl makes a new game staring him pretty likely, and it looks like it would be good fun too. Some old relic be it Earthbound or Fire Emblem will appear no doubt but propably with more hype than its ever seen before. New IP's too that show case the Wiimote or Wiibalance board are a sure thing too, Nintendo needs to have a line up for 2008 and right now it doesn't have one.

9. Wii music, for xmas

It's been in development long enough, more screens and info keep coming out, its time for a firm release date. The question is will it be an application, a channel, a perheral (like guitar hero or rock band) Id imagine its not going to be as major as Wiifit though.

10. No reference to the forgotten games Disaster day of crisis / Sadness

Because they would make me happy. Genuinely intresting games with the Wii.

I think storage and no headset are pretty definite, along with the lack of Zelda and new DS design.

Wii music I'd love to be announced, but it's become something of a myth atm so I'm not holding out too much hope. However, with the news of the new motion attachment, this would surely benefit Wii music greatly. I.E Drums would be much easier to play

I'm hoping for a new F-Zero game to be announced and some dates for the likes of Animal Crossing.

But the big one is definitely the storage. I'ts gone on for far too long now, surely we'll have the announcement tomorrow!

I would still like to hear them announce some kind of upgrade to enhance graphic capabilities......(I mentioned this in a thread a while back). After playing a PS3 for a few months, next generation graphics with the use of the Wiimote etc would be unbeatable!!

Some good predictions.

I hope that Pikmin is going to be announced, would be the most excited I have gotten about the Wii in a while.

What happened to the 3rd DS they were going to release? Something about using Miis, but I haven't heard anything for ages. And no, I don't think they will announce the DS's successor as you say.

So what is this? Is it future updates from Nintendo? Announcing what they are bringing out next ?

Basically E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) is a trade show for the Gaming industry. It takes place every year (they were going to shut it down, but it's back now) and all the major, and some minor, gaming companies go to show off what they are doing in the future.
