When I bought the Wii... I bought it for original content, stuff I wouldn't get on other systems or stuff the control scheme would greatly enhance.
Now when I picked up the Wii I was under the pretences I was doing my bit to split the industry into two sizeable chunks with me capatilising on both.
Games would either focus on power and go the ps360 or pc route or they would go for the easy user interface and clear cut controls of the Wii. Making a point to a person about exclusives he told me.

You may call this title exclusive to Nintendo Wii but it simply can't theasably be put on the more powerful consoles

Supposibly developing on the Ps3 or 360 is a concept that riddled with so much expense than Sony / MS or some monopolising publisher would need to give you money to succeed. What does this mean? well it means very good things and very bad things.
The good is simply that the Wii with it's cheaper development costs will still see independent titles instead of money backed system sellers like ww2 and sport games and Wii will become known as the console for the creative designer. The bad is that with the cheap costs those same developers can flood the market with A grade crap.
Let's look at the DS as a microcosm of what the Wii wants to do. Innovative, portable about new ways to play and cheap to produce for. Now lets look at Brain Training, or how to make a good idea profitable.
Yet since Brain training... many a game have appeared sporting similar ideas, all uninspired but flooding the market none the less.
Nothing wrong with flooding a market with crap the PS2 thrived on common litter games but thats the problem. The successful and cheap console gets the most ripoffs.
But is there anything on the Wii that isn't a cash in?
I smell a rat in Rayman, Sonic, Red Steel, Far cry, Wii play, GT pro series and a ton more.
Sure the Wii has two killer applications already, Zelda twilight princess and Wii sports but one of them can be bought and enjoyed on the gamecube.
It seems like the phrase to explain yourself playing an inferior and 'novelty' console to people is 'it's not about graphics it's about gameplay' ok, good save? why doesn't the Wii deliver enough gameplay? all I see is mini games hogging space that could be used on great 1 player adventures. Zelda sure you may be 80 hours long but that was my christmas holiday what do you have for me now Wii?
Why must I wait for the next Mario or Smash bros? I bought a Wii for original clever ideas and so far all I have is a multiplayer game stripped of any customisation in Wii sports and a now purpose served and ultimatly unreplayable game in Zelda TP. Maybe if they gave me some reward? to make me collect every waking 50 ruby chest I seem to bust my ass reaching? that's why I buy a 360 game over a new lackluster Wii release.
And now we depart to the graphic's war. Ultimatly the Wii has the hardware to do this!
And this
That's resident evil 4 released in early 2005, every Wii game should be at least this good graphically being as the Wii is more powerful than a gamecube.
Ladies and Gentlemen in latter 2006 I present the imposters.
Now in early 2007 theres a new type of Wii game a Wiimake!
Scarface / Godfather they all face a Wiimake! while supposibly good games to begin with the Wii can deliver some untapped portential with the controller and give people like me who didn't care before a chance to pick up the title.
How these Wiimakes turn out is crucial to Nintendo's public opinion. If these turn into just crappy ports it shows developers truely are just after a cash in game but if they review, enhance and go head over heals on wii intervention they may just update a supposed classic and make people think, meh next gen version of Godfather 2? all graphics no substance, i'll get it for Wii instead.
