I remember it a like it was yesterday, the last E3. I remember religiously staying up past wise hours researching all those new names Halo3, Mario galaxy, GT4 and many more. The Wii was conquering, MS was *****ing and Sony well they were floating alone in a bathtub. I remember the responses, the riots on ps3 forums on all the great gaming sites (IGN / gamespot) and the resulting backlashes. I remember all those classics such as 'attack it's weak point for massive damage' the rise of the Wii60 ideology and all those stealing of idea accusations.
Sony suffered a backlash from the gaming community on the 6 axis controller as well as the price.
It was a good night to be a gamer and like many Nintendo fans sick of the quarrels of Sony lovers I joined in, We fought those fanboys back across the border in an ideology riot until the voices of reason inside us all subsided and we believed Sony were the 'evil' of the video game market.
And Nintendo were the good guys...

Hell, some ever honestly believed MS and Nintendo would team up to take down the big bad sony.
But the internet has no fury and Sony began a very quick fall from grace.
The loss of exclusives such a GTA and the high price made people question Sony's leadership this time round. The internet had a clear message (it's too dear so sod off) and thus upon release PS3 performed very poorly. Compared to Nintendo's Wii that lifted 4 million in 2 months. A few months after release PS3's were gavering dust in game stores over NA being outsold by 360's. In Europe most PS3's are still available for preorder and this suggests demand is so low here a sell out is not expected at launch. Unlike our Wii's that still slip from eagar hands after months.
Month's prior to the launch Sony reshuffled Ken Kuragi (or Krazy Ken) to 'head of next gen development'
This is Krazy Ken or the father of playstation.
It's almost impossible to get an image of him that hasn't been distorted in photoshop so to represent him with this guy instead.
Ok, so the story of Krazy Ken!
At E3 this guy made some classic quotes that would fuel the interwebs rage...
'the Ps3 is propably too cheap'
'people should get another job to pay for a ps3'
and many many more gems...
In fact anything to give the fanboy's some biting power, oh and the stock brokers, employees and consumers ectra...
So what happened to Ken? well he got demoted, more than that infact.
You see Ken didn't tell anyone he was going over the production cost of the Ps3 not even his boss. When they found out they needed to cut the price in Japan and reduce quality.
If he can't hear it, it's not true
Meanwhile Sony shubbed Europe with a delay angering their favorate community at a time where MS and Nintendo were being really nice to us.
Now they couldn't just sack Ken could they? he's the father of Playstation afterall that would be...

Now I think it's clear now Sony's playstation is focused purely on 'next gen games' making a position that sounds important but isn't is the perfect place to stick Krazy Ken, what's the worst that could happen?
