Hi all,

My name is Steve, i'm 28 and from Hemel Hempstead, Herts

I am looking forward to "having a Wii" on my birthday, March 8th.

I think my family are pooling the money to buy it for me, and i also think they had ordered it from Amazon.de and have now got it! have seen various e-mails about it, at my parents

I'm sure they have got it, so i went out and got a BB router, wall mounted my LCD telly, all setup and ready for a Wii to be plugged in

Anyhow, am i right in saying that i will need a mains plug adaptor to use an imported Wii? also does anybody know where i can get a cheap(ish) copy of Wii Play, with the additional remote?

I've had a quick browse of your forum and will be sticking around if thats OK with you

Welcome to the club.

I believe you are correct in saying that you will need a mails adaptor plug. A couple of shiney penny's at your local supermarket will do the job for that.

That's it for £30. Think you'll struggle to find it any cheaper than that.

PS. Hope your parents never have to keep any national secrets if they can't even hide the fact that they're getting you a wii.

Hello and welcome! What he^ said about Wii Play, though I ordered from powerplay and waited nearly 2 months for stock before my local Woolies got some in for £35 so I cancelled...

Well it was a surprise visit to the parents, a little recce if you like, just to make sure they are fulfilling my gaming needs this coming birthday!

My nephew picked one up two weeks ago from Game, guess he was just in the right place at the right time! he's got Excite Truck today, guess i'll be gameswapping with an eight year old!

ooh the excitement!

Any kind of cheap wires, adaptors, always try Maplins.
