I haven't played any sort of serious games since HalfLife Team Fortress Classic, my wife told me I was too old to be playing online with a bunch of kids!

Then I got a chance to play the wii. I was addicted to bowling the first night we played at a friends house. After the kids had been put to bed (and a few beers) the 'adults' got stuck in. It's the gameplay, the interaction, that makes it so addictive.

I've added Tiger Woods 08 and Splinter Cell to the wiiSports, a classic controller and another wiiremote is on it's way. I've downloaded a Sonic 3, Donkey Kong and one of the Mario games and I'm re-living my yoof

All I need now is a 50" plasma

nobody is too old for anythin! if you wanna play on your wii thats fine - and if you get your wife involved with what your doing she may not think its so childish!! my and my hubby play alot of online gaming on the pc (MOHAA & COD) and the age range of people who play them are from really young to older than you are! we even play against a team of policemen who have made up there own little tribe! (which thats another thing alot of people dont imagine!)

What other console could you convince a high ranking council official, a police officer, a consultant and a financial bod to stand around making odd gestures ? Average age most definately north of 30.....

Hey, from a 41 year old housewife and mum, welcome to the forum!

I started gaming with a Pong plug in TV game back in the 70s, plus I had a table top LED Astrowars game like this one:

My first console was a Sinclair ZX and later I got the basic Spectrum, followed by an Atari 2600.

First modern console was a GameCube, followed swiftly by GameBoy Advances for me and my 2 sons, which led onto DS's. Then we went backwards and got a N64 and GameBoy Colours, and now we have a Wii! We gave into the frustration of not being able to get a lot of titles for the Gamecube a couple of years ago and bought a slimline PS2 - which we bought an Eyetoy for and love to bits, but that is our only non-Nintendo console!

Ain't life grand!

P.S. If you fancy adding me to your address book, my wii code is on the left - just post here with your wii code or pm me!

As others have said your never to old, i used to play alot of MMORPG's and alot of people were in there 30's 40's 50's and i had friends older then that still, don't get me wrong though there is alot of childish people online but saying that though you don't have to be a teenager to be acting like a kid i've bumped into many who are older and you would think they weren't as old as they say, but saying that my mother always says that men never truly grow up regardless of there age.

But what i'm getting at is your going to bump into alot of different kind of people playing online games but if your playing then theres a very good chance someone same age same profession etc are doing the same thing but the good thing about the wii is you don't have to listen to them, my brothers own a 360 and i'd get really stressed out playing well not playing listening to some of the people on there.

And besides ninty have always tryed attracting people of all ages.

OMG! I forgot about that one! I had a Magnavox Pong! game and it boasted a special feature...

It would work with a colour television set and not just the black and white ones!

I still have it in the loft, I had it down a few months ago and it still works!
