I followed the advice given and have picked up both PES 2008 and Mario Kart Wii. Once I've had a few practice games I'd be keen to hook up with any of you guys and girls for a spin online. Finally, I wondered how I get the Mii's created by my friends and family onto my console. Is it simply a case of registering the console numbers on the different machines or is it more complicated than that? - appreciate any advice.

In terms of exchanging game friend codes, you’ll usually get these once you play on line for the first time in a specific game, or by looking in the friend codes section of the game or whatever. Once you have a games friend code, most people add it to their sig and also post it in the Friend Code Repository thread, which is updated regularly. You can find other peoples codes here and add them, but I’d suggest letting them know so that they can add you back. Either that or just post in the game specific thread e.g. PES or MK Wii.
As for exchanging Mii’s, you need to add each other’s Wii Codes in the address book of your Wii. You also need to ensure that your Mii’s, aswell as your friends/relatives, are set to ‘mingle’, otherwise they won’t go anywhere. Then you should see other peoples Mii’s appearing in the Mii Parade.
