Wii stand review

Sorry if it's a bit of a silly thing to review, but I thought I'd add another review to this section just for the hell of it


So, here is the free wii stand you get with the wii, I don't think I'll be getting another wii stand as it does me fine...It's also good because PS3's and 360's don't come with free stands.

Strength - 8. Very strong, seems to be able to withstand an awful lot

Looks - 6. It could've been white and fitted in with the wii, but atleast it was free

Standability - 5. The worst part, It's meant to be a 'stand' but when playing on Gamecube games it can tip the wii over, atleast it's not caused any damage - yet

General standyness' - 21/30...Very good as it's free, which is better than nothing

I think this is a valid review (shall we call you Frank now? ). I agree that it's a good thing that it was supplied as standard with the Wii but I get the impression that the 360 and PS3 are relatively stable without stands so maybe it's more of a necessity with our friend the Wii. I think there's a lot of potential in the stand replacement industry if Nintendo ever get around to allowing USB hard drives (nice area of currently dead space in the stand) and other gubbins.

Bede on the nessicity (sp) note i disagree
the ps3 and xb lay down with is stable
so does the wii
if you stand the xb and ps3 up it has nearly just as much chance of falling over


also because the wii is wire less it wont fall over ebcause you dont need to touch it

PinkieH, I have to disagree.

The PS3 was never designed to be stood vertically, so if you did try and it resulted in it falling. Then who's to blame? You, that's who!



And the Xbox 360 is very stable standing vertically. I had one for about a year, and it didn't fall over once.

What do you mean, the Wii is wireless? All three consoles have wireless controllers!

i thought that i might have confused people with that post
what i mean is
with any consoles it doesnt need a stand as it can stand freely because its not goin to fall over if you pull the controller

Those are fair points, but I still feel that the contact area when either the PS3 or 360 are set up vertically (perhaps on a more psychological level rather than mechanical need) is more reassuring than the Wii's. And I prefer the aesthetics that way

lol, Wario is always sarcastic...I know it's a bit lame doing about a free stand - but I was bored and wanted this hardware review section to rise a bit.
