Hi, Your Wii will work in the uk no problem. You will need a new psu/adapter for it and unfortunately the uk(pal) games will not work with your US(NTSC) wii :(

I think this question should be added to the FAQ. The amount of threads we've had asking about foreign Wii's working in the UK has been really high recently, Probably due to the shortage of Wiis here!
Although it probably won't stop them all together, adding it to the FAQ would probably stop most new threads.

No, pretty sure the US version isn't a good option. Mind you, it looks like they have more stock shortages than us! Go with a Wii from Germany or France - this site has guides for both: In Stock Wii Consoles!
Everyone is saying that our Wii will work in the UK but that I simply need an adapter... Now is this adapter simply the power adapter that everyone is referring to?? Or are you referring to some other adapter.
I want my children to play with the grandparents on the Wii, but I want to be sure it works before i transport my Wii to the UK.
And yes, I am aware that NTSC games are required and not the UK games.
Mizey the adapter everyone speaks of is just the adapter to allow it to be plugged in, as the power outlets are different here in the Us than those in the UK
