Expensive schoolboy error - WiiTalk

Just heard this morning - a colleague went to a bar while away in US. In the bar they had a massive screen (72" or something the like) and a Wii console attached. So he had a few drinks, and eventually got a go. Having not played Wii before he had a couple of games of bowling and noticed that his mate was managing to spin the ball. So he got a quick lesson on how to do it, then as he steps forward he's so busy concentrating on technique that his hand crashes into the drinks table …. I'm expecting him to go on and say he trashed all the drinks but no…. the Wiimote is not attached to his wrist by the strap (newbie mistake!), and flies forward - crashing through the screen….

(Fortunately he hasn't had to pay for it, it's gone through the bar's insurance).

There's a lesson in there for all of us!

Wow.

If ever there was a screen you didn't want to have your Wiimote go flying through, it would be that one.

isnt it asking for trouble if you get a wii in the hands of someone whos a bit warm and fuzzy

i guess if it was a british pub it would save having bar room brawls by having the wii boxing on there instead...

Now there you go, that's an idea for a new game.
Bar Room Brawls!!!!

The wiimote could act as a pool cue you have break in half by waving it in the correct motion so it is then a weapon. Also you do a throwing action as if your lobbing a pint at someone or a quick thrust forward as if your glassing a guy!!!!!
