updates 2.2e to 3.0e

hello first message here wonder if any one can help me out i had my wii chipped but not really sure what chip is inside but i want to update my wii at the moment i have 2.2e firmware i have heard of freeloaders breaking any chance of pointing me in the right direction thanks

From what I have read/heard it'll brick some mod chips but mostly not, best to get in touch with the people who chipped your Wii and see what chip they used then check on the web. As a whole it seems chipped Wiis will be ok.

As for Datels freeloader 3.0(and others) it kills it completely and just gives disk read errors when trying to play imported games. I presume its only a matter of time before they release a new one that isn't effected by update 3.0.
