Wii in a pub!

Went the pub earlier this week as my friends were keen to watch the first leg of the FA Youth Cup final. At half time my friend pointed out some guy had put a Wii on the bar. I called over for them to plug it in, but it looked like that was what they were after anyway.
Mate shoved off to front bar to find little telly of football, while huge telly in back room got hooked up for some Ninty action. Much like myself, the guy who's machine it was gained more pleasure from sitting in corner and watching us.
We had 4 player bowling on two wiimotes. The barman and myself sharing one, a drunk man and a free for all on the other. I took first (bout 285), barman second (bout 281), free for all had some girl take over for last few turns and she was good. Mr drunk didn't hit many skittles all game.

I don't think the Wii owner was two impressed with my lazy bowling technique, ie not pretending to run past the pool table doing a Pete Townsend with my arms. But I enjoyed the anonymity of no one being able to work out where my shots were coming from.
I could have stayed there all night, but I quit while ahead, glad I had gone out to watch some youth football at a random Wii friendly pub!

I know what you mean! It seems odd that you can enjoy your console without actually going on it!

I personally would not want to take my Wii into the pub, beer spills and drunkards throwing the wiimote


Anyway, when i go to the pub, i seem to do alot of Wii's (sorry!!)
