I had to fly via Paris CDG airport last week on a business trip. As luck would have it the electronics shop there had ONE wii fit in, for 78 euros so I snapped it up after checking that the language support was there. The only difference between that and a UK wii fit is that the writing on the back of the CD case is in French rather than English (big deal!) It was a very minor gamble as I wouldn't be able to take it back I suppose, but so what. Otherwise I think I'd be lucky to drop on one this side of Xmas.

i have literally been going up and down stores like so many times a week and they all say the same thing 'we're sorry but we haven't got none in stock we get delivery blah blah so come in regularly'!
I've been wanting 1 for sooo long it's got to a point where im about to crack right now!!!!!!

Best thing to do is find out when you local shops usually gets their stock, i.e days and time of day, then just ring them at those points. Maybe have a list of ten or so. The rest of the time just forget about it.

When I was trying to get my wii I was using online stock checkers and it was a very frustrating 5 days of sat there watching the screen only to get to checkouts and have them all gone. I got one within 48 hours of using the calling method and it meant I could chill out the rest of the time.

I'm the same, I was interested at first and probably would have got a copy. Not now though. Just feels like the times past for me.

I bet a lot of people feel that way. It still seems so strange to me that there are never any in stock. What's Nintendo playing at, I wonder?

Have been trying for months to get this game in Glasgow :( seems the stores up here are getting in like 2 or 3 at a time.... reminds me of last year with the shortage of the console. .x

I think it's a technically interesting piece of kit, but Nintendo do seem to have an issue with supply and demand to the major chains (my sibling was told even establishments like Currys tend to get a delivery of 4-5 most of the time).
